Can Temprid® be used for inside and outside pest control applications?
Yes. Temprid® has a broad spectrum and flexible label and can be used as an outdoor perimeter pest product as well indoors as a residual spray, spot spray, or treatment to cracks and crevices inside buildings and structures. It can be used for pest management for schools, stores, warehouses, hospitals, food processing facilities and modes of transport, but label directions and appropriate care must be followed as with any insecticide treatment.
Can Temprid® be used as part of an integrated pest management program?
Yes. Use of Temprid®, together with habitat modifications and sanitation programs as part of your integrated pest management program will enhance and help protect people and structures from most of the important pests including cockroaches, ants, mosquitoes, etc.
Can Temprid® be used for German Cockroach control in commercial situations?
Yes, one of the outstanding characteristics of Temprid® is that it provides a wet spray that can be used effectively to control German cockroaches especially those that may have developed some level of tolerance to other commonly used insecticides. Even when large populations of German cockroaches are present in food handling facilities, Temprid® provides rapid results with long residual. But again, Temprid® should always be used according to the label directions.
Can we treat with Temprid® for mosquitoes?
Yes. Management of mosquitoes can be achieved with a residual spray of Temprid®. Temprid® will control adult mosquitoes that land on sprayed surfaces with residual effectiveness of up to a few weeks depending on the situation. Temprid® can be applied to walls and other places where mosquitoes may rest including shaded areas, building foundations, and around non-flowering plants.
Will there be any restrictions regarding the number of applications or intervals between applications?
No. There’s no restriction as to the number of applications that can be made per year. But we always recommend regular monitoring of the situation so that the pest problem is properly managed and Temprid® is only applied when necessary.
Is Temprid® safe to be used around my home?
When used according to directions and with responsible care, Temprid® has been evaluated to show no significant risk for labelled use recommendations in and around homes. Temprid® has been evaluated by government regulatory authorities around the world and approved for use in and around homes and other areas when used according to the label. As with all pest control products we insist on the responsible use of such products and training of applicators to achieve the best performance of these products whilst minimizing any risk to people or the environment.
Can we use Temprid® to treat for bedbugs?
Temprid® is labelled for bedbugs and provides excellent levels of control. Temprid® will kill bedbugs that walk over treated areas. Temprid® can be applied to the tufts, folds and seams of mattresses, box springs and upholstered furniture. It can also be applied as a crack and crevice treatment to all baseboards, moldings, beneath floor coverings and carpets, closets, shelves, curtains, furniture and picture frames that may provide harborage areas for bed bugs. As will all pest control products, it’s important to use the product according to the label recommendations.
Can I use a fogger to apply Temprid®?
No. Temprid® is not labeled nor a suitable formulation to be applied in a fogger. Temprid® can be used indoors as a residual spray, spot treatment or as a void injection by foam, or crack and crevice spray, and outdoors as a perimeter residual spray treatment.
Does Temprid® stain after it dries?
Most of the products applied as a residual spray can leave what some people call micro-crystals. This depends on the type of surface it is applied to. After the spray deposit dries it looks like small crystals or fine powder on the surface. Such residual deposits might be more obvious on dark surfaces. It’s always best to spray a small area first to see whether there is any visible residue and whether this causes any concern.
How long does Temprid® stay active as a residual?
Temprid® can remain active for up to 90 days indoors and for about 30 days outdoors, but this can vary depending on the situation. As with all insecticides, sunlight, rainfall, type of surface, and frequency of washing are some of the major factors that can influence the length of residual you could expect following an application of Temprid®. However, in many trials and commercial experience Temprid® has shown excellent levels of residual efficacy compared to many other insecticides. Monitoring of the situation after application is always recommended.
Can Temprid® be used on a fruit tree?
No. Temprid® is not labeled to be used on edible fruit trees and other edible crops.
